Aug-26-01, 10:21 PM (EST) "What's our goal?" Hi. I'm new to Train Sim (or are we all?) and I'm a little baffled at the possibilities avalible to all of us. I haven't downloaded anything, but I'm dying for that SF warbonnet! My concerns are of compatability and of goals. Where can I put it? Do I have to run it with my modern day BNSF stuff? Is anyone working to change the era of their routes? My real love is the Eastern railroads in the '50's, particularly local freight (a train needs a caboose!). How can we download an era?I have Photoshop and 3D Studio, and would like to help with what I can, but I would like to see us working towards a goal. Maybe we could shift the BNSF back to the GN, at least as far as consists are concerned. I don't think it would be to hard to change the route (i.e. change the steel buildings to wood and brick) at a later time. If we had a standard "package" to download, we would all be on the same page for activities, etc. I've poked around in the editors, and can appriciate the vast amount of work involved in creating a railroad, and I don't think I can do it alone! I think that our goal and the goal of everybody who has the game and worked on it is to create the most realistic and best train Simulator(pardon the pun) that can ever be made. We are alreayd getting there with all the engines and cars and sounds and routes and everything else that is being, has been and will be released. It will take a while though, because to be the most realistic simulator ever, we will have to make every model the best that we can the every route the best that we can.We are getting there though, its gonna take time.Chris Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
