I have just uploaded Train Store V3.0, so it should be available within the next 24 hours.There are new features which benefit users who just want to Explore, or run Activities, and also Activity developers.SUMMARY
=========
Train Store now handles Path swapping and TSECTION.DAT swapping. There is an 'Easy' user interface (which co-exists with the 'Classic' user interface). Right-click context menus are available almost everywhere. You can Copy, Save or Print almost all of the objects containing information in the Train Store windows.If you don't use multiple MSTS installations, I think this version removes the need to copy and Paste or rmove any files by hand.Danish, Dutch, French and German versions of the software are also releasedSee the Getting Started PDF for installation details and Getting Started information.
IN DETAIL
=========NEW FEATURES
==============1. There is an added 'Easy' user interface to Train Store.
=======================================
The existing 'Classic' interface is freely interchangeble with it as both interfaces are selectable on a tab setting. The Easy interface allows the user to select ONE Route, ONE Activity, and then Run it. Alternatively, the user can select ONE Route, and ONE Consist to Explore with and ONE Path, and Explore.When Exploring using the 'Easy' user interface Consists can be selected from either from All Available Consists, or just from Explore Mode Consists which are available for the Route + Global Explore Mode Consists, or just from Consists which are available to the Route.2. Train Store now stores and unstores Paths.
==================================
When using the 'Easy' interface or when Activities are being used, the relevant Paths are also stored/unstored as appropriate, so no selection is necessary. For Explore Mode purposes using the 'Classic' interface, the Paths cannot be chosen in this way. There is therefore a new Explore Mode Path list editor. This functions in the same way as the Explore Mode Consist list editor.3. Train Store can now swap Global TSECTION.DAT files.
============================================
This feature allows you to set up a library of TSECTION.DAT file which can be swapped in to use in MSTS depending upon the Route(s) which are unstored. Separate TSECTION.DAT file requirements can be specified for Simulation Mode and Maintenance Mode if required. A System Default TSECTION.DAT specification is used for Routes which do not have a TSECTION.DAT specification, and for the situation where 'Everything Unstored!' is run.Once set up the system is automatic. It only becomes visible if conflicts are detected when more than one Route is being unstored. Then, a simple visual control allows you to change the unstore requirements to remove the conflicts.
The feature is optional. is 'off' by default. It only needs to be used if your system already uses multiple TSECTION.DAT files.4. RightClick is available
====================
Most of the system now supports context sensitive rightclicking to gain easier access to functions, although the functions are still included in the menus and buttons as appropriate. The rightclick gives access to functions such as Store/Unstore, Unstore this object only, TSECTION.DAT settings, Find, Copy, Save contents, Immediate Unstore, Load in ConBuilder, Edit and Where Used5. Unstore this Object Only
=====================
Rightclicking on an Activity or Route and choosing this facility will set all of the other objects to Stored, and the selected object to unstored. Click on the Go! or Prepare button to complete the process.6. Where Used Facility
==================
There is a simple Where Used facility. This can be by rightclicking on Consists, Stock Items or Paths. In addition, when a store/unstore operation is attempted, if there are any errors, a Where Used Analysis is added to the end of the Error List. This analysis covers Stock Items, Consists, Services and Paths. (The function is optional, and can be suppressed from the Options menu).7. Immediate Unstore Facility
========================
In Maintenance Mode, this facility will immediately unstore the selected Stock items or Consists. If a Consist is selected, all of its Stock Items will also be unstored. The item can be accessed by rightclicking on selected item(s).8. Edit Facility
============
In Maintenance Mode, this facility will immediately unstore the selected Stock items or Consists and opens WORDPAD (or the selected editor). If a Consist is selected, all of its Stock Items will also be unstored. The item can be accessed by rightclicking on a selected item.9. Start ConBuilder Facility
======================
In Maintenance Mode, this facility will immediately unstore the selected Stock items or Consists and open ConBuilder. If a Consist is selected, all of its dependent Stock Items will also be unstored. The item can be accessed by rightclicking on selected item(s). ConBuilder can also be started directly from the Tools Menu.10. Start Route_Riter Facility
========================
In Maintenance Mode, Route_Riter can be started directly from the Tools Menu.11. Copy/Save Contents
==================
Rightclicking in the information pane give access to these functions. The text selected, or all of the text if no text is selected, will be copied to the clipboard or save to the specified file.12. Find Function
=============
Rightclicking and selecting the Find function will allow you to search for the specified text within the window which is selected.13. Partial Route Unstore in Maintenance Mode
=================================
Version 3.0 now allows unstoring of partial routes in Maintenance Mode. The operation proceeds by unstoring the requested Activities. Next it looks to see where the dependant Services and Paths have been used. If they have been used in any other Activities, then these Activities are also unstored, and the process is then repeated. This is to ensure that 'shared resources' are always availble in Maintenance Mode.14. Validation of .ASV Files
============================
If a computed activity file (.ASV) is found during an unstore process, then its date is checked with the corresponding .ACT file. If it is dated earlier than the corresponding .ACT file, a warning is issued and the .ACT file is unstored without the corresponding .ASV file. This is to prevent the situation where MSTS uses stock information from the .ASV file which is unknown to Train Store. This is not purely a workround for Train Store, such outdated .ASV files are NOT valid MSTS items (see MSTS Activity Editor Help file)
MINOR IMPROVEMENTS
==================1. Stock item descriptions include 'driveable' if the item is driveable.
2. Stock items are now shown with folder and file name together with the 'Name' in the information pane.
3. Activity information now includes details of the Path (From and To)
4. Minor format changes in the information pane to improve readability.
5. Improvement to 'tree' handling performance to give faster start-up, and faster list handling.ERRORS FIXED
============1. Problem where the Train Store window could appear 'off-sceen' on certain unusual VGA configurations.
2. The Player service did not show correctly (in Activity information) when ViewByFileName was selected.
3. The error number shown in error lists did not reset properly in some circumstances.
4. The information pane was sometimes cleared prematurely when in Maintenance mode.
5. If the Train Store storage folder was moved, the date/time file attributes of stored files were not set correctly.
6. The information pane was sometimes cleared unnecessarily by the printing process.
7. Incorrect reference was made to the cache file during initial version checking.
8. Search memory structures were not closed during some processes resulting in a small memory leak.
9. Printing error messages caused a looping condition and the print was never produced.
10. Deleted items were not being removed from caches
11. Cache refresh unnecessarily reset the last used lotnumber
12. Activity Description information was not shown for Activities containing pick-up events
