Aug-25-01, 04:01 AM (EST) "Geeps and rearviews" I was wondering if sombody has figured out how to make the Geeps in MSTS have the same kind of rear lookout that F units have so when you back-up in switching ops you get the real feel of the engineer. I have played around trying to get the F7 cabviews to work hoping I would stumble upon the answer. Also some Railroads ran Geeps long cabs forward for protection at crossing grades. Aug-25-01, 09:22 AM (EST) 2. "RE: Geeps and rearviews" I'm not quite sure if you mean the headout view, or a virtual view where you are actually inside the cab, but can rotate your view about. AFAIK, the F7s don't have the virtual view, just a headout view when pressing the up or down arrow. If you want the headout view then just add this line to your gp38.eng file after the Cabview line, so that it looks like this:CabView ( gp38.cvf )
HeadOut ( 1.8 3.7 5.1 )with the bold text being the line to enter. Now if you're talking about a virtual view, well.....I've done some experimenting and it hasn't turned out so well. You can make one, it just doesn't seem worthwhile. Here are some pics to show you what I mean.

As you can see, there is quite a bit of bleed through and there doesn't seem to be a remedy. I guess someone will have to make a shape file for an inside view for the Geep. Now I'm off to see if the Dash 9 suffers from the same problem as the Geep as far as bleed through is concerned.Regards,
