Aug-24-01, 04:26 PM (EST) "Irritating Problem" I have installed MSTS to the default directory(s), never had any problems and
all the options are enabled with the advanced graphics sliders at maximum and it
runs beautifully.
However I cannot launch it using the desktop icon that links to the
'launcher.exe'. The command line shows:"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\launcher.exe" -rungameI get "Profiling" and then nothing. I can run it by starting 'train.exe'. I would like to start playing with the 'tools' progs but cannot get them to run, again "Profiling" then zilch!I have also noticed that in the troubleshooter the Product ID box is empty it just shows: <PID not available>.I have the latest video drivers and have done several installs/re-installs to no avail.I have run 'dxdiag.exe' and everything checks out OK and all the tests are successful an edited version of the full report shows:Dell Precision 330
