Aug-24-01, 10:28 AM (EST) "Static railroad cars" Who says you can't have static cars sitting on sidings when you are in "explore route"? You have the s and sd and ace files, all you have to do is include the car in the reference file. Placing them on the track is tricky though. The s and sd files have to be placed in the shapes file for the route you are using. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-24-01, 01:46 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Static railroad cars" It did work with US2Freight car. I have not been able to get it to work with the Dash9 yet. The ref. file is very touchy, make sure you keep a copy of the original. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-24-01, 11:32 PM (EST) 6. "RE: Static railroad cars" One thing that makes a loco mesh different from a car mesh is the wiper animation for diesels, the pantograph and wiper for electrics, and the drive gear animation for steam locos. I recall reading something about setting a flag in some file for objects that allows animation of an object. Maybe if you specify that the object be animated, it might accept the locos as static objects with animation. It's just a guess, but worth a shot.Cliff
