Aug-23-01, 08:50 PM (EST) "Jagged looking text and odd graphics on track" Okay, I'm running MSTS at 1280x1024x32 with all graphics options cranked up to the max. I'm getting quite decent frame rates (20-30), and the graphics are splendid. Here's the issue: the text graphics on the control panels look quite jagged and cartoonish. I tried switching resolutions but it doesn't improve much (the speedometer readings looked a mite bit better at 1024x768 but it might have been wishful thinking). The text is readable, and everything else looks sharp and clear, but it seems odd that the text should not be equally sharp.Another issue is this odd rectangular section of the track about 100ft in front of the train. It appears as if the transition between the faraway track and the near track is quite delineated. It does not look distorted (as that picture in the moire post showed), just very defined and odd.I'm running an AMD 1.33 GHz T-bird, 512 MB ram, Asus V7700 GeForce 2 GTS with 64 MB ram, Windows 98SE, and the GeForce tweak utility (loaded with fastest settings). Anti-alias is at 2x and the text does not improve with it at 4x (but my frame rates plummet to single digits if I do that).Any ideas? Is this just the way the graphics are? Thanks for any help. It should resolve the problem.-Matt -----------------------------------------------------------------Looking from all corners of the world for the best CP Rail and CN skins... Aug-24-01, 06:28 AM (EST) 2. "RE: Jagged looking text and odd graphics on track" Thanks, but I tried this yesterday. All it did was make text in the menu and loading screens unreadable. The text on the control panel remained unchanged. It may just be the way it is. I've been looking around for any screenshots taken from the cab and it seems like they all show this slightly jagged looking text.I'm just surprised that with all of the other graphics looking so sharp, that the text looks pixelated - as if it was a low res bitmap or something.
