Hi guys. I recently changed all my rolling stock coupling values using EngMod and managed to mess it up. Now I'm getting broken couplers every few minutes! So can someone please post me the definative coupler values for Stiffness, Break and Damping. I'm looking for the values that are set a little higher than default, so as to stop the broken coupler messages on some default routes.Regards, Nick (UK)
Nick: You're opening another can of worms here. Use the below values as a start. These are just general, not specific to one type of wagon. But they will help the broken coupler problem.Coupling ( Type ( Automatic ) Spring ( Stiffness ( 1.2e6N/m 4.8e6N/m ) Damping ( 1.2e6N/m/s 3.3e6N/m/s ) Break ( 1.8e7N 1.8e7N ) Cyndi
Yes, I know what you mean about the can of worms Cyndi!! Your values have fixed my problem, thanks very much, so maybe this thread should be locked now! Thanks again. Regards, Nick(UK)
Locking the Thread, Nick ?Not a good idea, because then I would not be able to suggest that the next time you want to change anything you should BACK-UP first what you are about to alter ! O t t o
Otto, Ah but I'm only 54 - Haven't got your wisdom yet!!!!Derek, I emailed you yesterday re; EngMod to say I keep getting "error 70" when using it. Not all the time but enough to be annoying - Any ideas please?Regards, Nick (UK)
