Every time train simulator starts, I get a error Trains\trainset\sd40\sd40.eng and I had to hit yes at least 6 times before the program continues. Please help me with this problem.

RE: startup problems!

Have you gone into the "Trains\trainset\sd40\" folder to see if the sd40.eng file is there?Yours in Railroading,

RE: startup problems!

You have an error in your consist pointing to this engine. You either don't have it or there is an error in its name. If you have conbuilder, you can check to see if that is not the case. Also you can find out which consist is asking for that particular engine and delete the consist file causing the error. That should solve your problem.'RangerWestern Maryland Railroad

Along with a consist problem as Ranger said above, you may have installed an activity that is trying to use this as a 'static' consist, although this will usually show up when you select the route as opposed to first opening MSTS. Route-Riter is another invaluable help with this kind of problemRobertR .. ADF-M&RM at http://www.adfrr.com

RE: startup problems!

Is this possibly after a re-install of MSTS and you forgot to re-install the 1.2 upgrade?

RE: startup problems!

No--it would be looking for .../sd402/sd402.eng if it was related to the update files.
