Hi All,I have discovered that the two sms files: snow_in.sms and snow_ex.sms in MSTS Sound folder are dummies in spite of the four snow WAVs.This means that sounds put into the Kosmos Snow folder won't activate. I have managed a simple work-around this problem by putting my latest sound environmental plug-in for Kosmos Abula21WinterSnowWithMSForestWind1 into the CLEAR folder of Kosmos, but when you do select Winter and clear from both Kosmos AND Train simulator, you'll get falling snow and and the sound of a roaring forest just as though you had actually selected the Snow folder. If anyone who has selected the MSTS default Winter and Snow in the past and heard the falling snow please let me know, though I rather think that Kuju have hard-coded the snow sms not to work with sound. Hi Pop,First, in answer to your question "what does the snow sound like in this add-on?" is that this new environment sound is designed for forested routes, and while the snow is falling you you hear the "rushing" or roaring swish of pines, which gives it a wintery storm feel.Second, You say that you have heard the snow countless times. it or all four versions sound like rain; I know this of course by clicking on the snow WAV files in MSTS main sound folder.Pop, would you be kind enough enough to find out for sure by selecting a very long freight train and then click 3 so that you are at the back of the train and can't hear the noise of the locos, and then see if you hear a rainlike sound or silence as is my case.thanks Mike<> Michael Sinclair
