Aug-19-01, 11:26 AM (EST) "Adding cars to custom engines...." I just found out how to add new engines to MSTS and I'm having a blast. I still can't figure out how to use different skins for the same engine, but that's okay. I'll figure that one out eventually. My main problem is that I can't figure out how to add cars to my custom engine. All I ever get on the track is the engine. Could someone explain to me or point me in the direction of a tutorial on how to add cars to the custom engines? Thanks,Joe Wells Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

several engines and created a new folder in the trainsets directory, but never have been able to see them in the game..Is there something I need to do? I have even tried to make a new consist, but the engine I put in isnt even shown as one of the locomotives to select from. Thanks Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Your top level folder (no subdirectories) should open to show all the working files except cabview and sound. Also, you did remember to unzip the download?

Aug-22-01, 10:08 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Adding cars to custom engines...." You add in cars like you added in your engines. You build the train with your new engine pulling it. Do everything that you did for the engine consist. Give the train a name. Give it an engine, or two or three or six... Then start selecting cars from the freight section and do all that with the editor. When you have your train the way you want to pull it, then SAVE and exit.Stevealex Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
