They're usually very careful with stuff like that, f.ex. try running over a pedestrian in Midtown Madness 1/2, it's impossible.That said, I ran over/through a car a few weeks back at a crossing, and it really gave me quite a shock. --------------Really cool screenshots, Roland. I wish my game looked as good as that. In actual fact, I cant run such scenery detail (cars, clouds, weather etc) because then I'd be running at about 2 frames per second - yet my system specs are not so bad, ie:
AMD500 processor
260mb Ram

But i forgot to mention that i used this Geforce Tweak Utility: http://guru3d.com/geforcetweakutility/
And selected the "QUALITY SETTING" .. i saw instant results You better do a upgrade if you can

Hi Roland,Since posting my earlier message, I tried running MSTS with max "world object" settings and minimum "object detail" settings. I'm now able to run at about 10-15 fps with traffic. And while the detail isnt that great, its fun to have the extra buildings and traffic etc. I do plan to upgrade to a 1gig machine soon, and will try for a Geoforce 64meg as well.Thanks.(Pic enclosed)Tin Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

>of crap ---Hi Mike,Although I have an AMD500 processor and lots of ram, I also have onboard graphic and sound cards on a cheap moboard. Bad combination for good frame rates, hence my need to upgrade real soon.---
For sale. Computer, AMD500 processor, etc. Great machine. Would make a very useful paperweight or doorstop.

I think you only need a new videocard like a geforce.

ie. I did buy a new videocard a few weeks ago, only to discover that my onboard Trident graphics card couldnt be disabled!!
Anyway, I want to be up there with the 1gig boys, so I might as well go for a full (fool?) upgrade.cheerzzzzTin

196,064kband i know ive got 32 gig of hard drive space cause me brother just installed another 20 gig in this puter so i can continue adding more to it ;} (what a nice bro hey !! ) Im lanned to his puter which has all the good gear, not to mention 80 gig of space!!! plus the added bonus of cable ;}my gripe is that i have have all the settings set on full and im lucky to get between 5 to 40 fps...depending on speed and place of course...Still im used to net lag in other games so it doesnt bother me ;}I'd like to add a "keep on Trucking" for my ending , whats the Train equevlant? I have a P700 (not sure which version of a pentium it is) with 128MB, although 64 megs is given over to my on board vid card. Which I think is probably more of a problem than the original advantage I think it was. Darn wish I could win the lottery or something so I could buy a supercomputer that could run train sim like a real train...um no hangon I mean buy a real train! I actually stopped the train after it looked as if I smacked a back packer, got out and made sure he was alright.
