Here's my problem: I have a cut of cars on the siding next to the main, and every time my locomotive gets next to a certain car, I have a derailment. Almost as if the car is in the way of the mainline. I checked the bounding box with the editor, and it says it is OK. Any thoughts?

Define "OK".
Press Ctrl and + at the same time in the sim and see how wide the bounding boxes are.

-----You are reading my signature now, don't waste your time reading it!-----
Or probably, maybe you should waste your time reading it.
Eh, where did my signature go?
Oh, here it is, the one you are reading right now? Can't you see it? I know I know, it's probably too bright to see it.
Hey, look at my avatar, nice right? I drew it with my own hands holding the mouse in Paint, with the pencil tool(and the Filling tool!)!
It's a picture of me in Planet Stooopid, where everything is the same as what you call "Earth" except that we are called "aliens" in your planet.
Anyway, I warned you not waste time reading my signature! You have just wasted probably about 30 seconds reading it, where you could have spent the time doing better things, like maybe reading the next post below if there is one...

RE: Derailment question

Thanks for the tip! Never tried that one, but it worked...sure enough, the bounding box of the offending car is setting just over the first rail on the mainline....looks like it needs to go back left(as viewed oncoming)back to where the car sets. What do I need to edit to bring it back to the left?

RE: Derailment question

Oops, never mind....just done some stressful editing (I've never done that before, whew...)and voila! The bounding box is back where it should be and the derailments have ceased. Wahoo!!! Guess you just have to jump into the swamp with both feet if you want to learn something! My thanks to you for teaching this old railroader another new trick!
