Problems using Environment Control – image 1

Hello; I have a problem trying to use Environment Control:After learning how to assemble, install and select environments, I could see
some few good effects;
So I tried to install the tcrack3.zip file downloaded from the libraries to
simulate thunders and lightning, followed the instructions, etc...
But every time I select new environments and try to load a route with the
same season/weather combination (generally spring/rain), I receive the very
unpleasant Send/Don't
send error and the program crashes.
Even more, some default environments stay changed, showing a split, broken
moon.I have uninstalled Environment Control, deleted its older folders, checked
the registry for items to
clean up, and re-installed, but the problem persists.
I wouldn't like to reinstall the TS program once again.
By the moment I still keep on using Sky!Conductor. But before giving up E.C., I'd like to hear from other users experience
I've read that others prefer and enjoy E.C., so there must be a way to make
it run as well.
Perhaps some have experienced the same before, and know the secret I needWhat went wrong with my environments, that causes these errors?
Which files may be corrupted, that I cannot find?
I'd like to have some tips, advices, clues, suggestions....Regards to all

Eduardo.

RE: Problems using Environment Control

You mention that the problems started after installing the thunder sounds in tcrack3.zip.With tcrack3.zip you put replacement .SMS files and a replacement .WAV file in the SOUND folder of the general Train Sim folder. Something must have fouled up when that happened. The replacement files will get invoked every time you start any activity of any route with "Rain" weather. In Michael Sinclair's install instructions, he mentions making a backup copy of that folder onto the desktop. If you did that, did you try copying back that folder of files to the Train Sim SOUND folder? Is there any chance that tcrack3.zip, itself, ended up in one of the route folders? That might mess up Environment Control. And your comment:
"Even more, some default environments stay changed, showing a split, broken moon."
Could you explain that more? Jeff
