The wag file is the Wagon file, the Eng file is the Engine, Con is Consist, and Act is activity.For example, if an activity calls for one name and you have a different name, you get the error. Do you have an activity that uses this car (wag)? If you downloaded this wag file on the same date as an activity, it might be a clue.Folder names and car names must jibe.bob Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-14-01, 11:37 AM (EST) 3. "RE: Error reading Train Data base....i know it's posted before but please read" Bob is correct, each activity looks for the folders and files that the author had. The files can be found at; http://www.train-sim.com/login.htmThis is the address of the file library. The error;
Trains\Trainset|SuperCoachBag31039\SuperCoBag31039.wagis looking for the one of the passenger supercars, the CDNGrain sounds like a freight car. Be sure the folder names are the same as the error. If all this does not make any sense it might be best to only download activites that include only default engines and cars.Good luck,

Aug-14-01, 11:58 AM (EST) 4. "RE: Error reading Train Data base....i know it's posted before but please read" Search the files here for cdngrain.zip...install it and that should take care of the problem...make sure you name the file cdngrain. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

the only trick here is to make sure your folder names are exactly that of the ones typed in the readme file that comes in the zip ;}and done...i had origanaly put there full name in without the numbers on the end but only recently had the prob....not sure which activity it was.anyway..just click yes to error files and you'll get there eventually, just cross your fingers you dont need those trains..cya's Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
