Even though I've got a cabview file in the SP U33C folder, I'm getting a "Failed to Create Cabview" error. Any ideas on on how I can fix this problem? Thanks in advance.

Copy the Cabview File from the default GP38, then look in the .eng file (use notepad) scrool down, look for the name of the Cabview file (.cvf) and rename it to GP38.cvf

For a cvf file to work without all of the associated ace files in the folder, the required ace files must be 'aliased. Here is a cvf which uses the default GP38 to create the view. If you look at it, you will see that every instance of an item that is used in the cabview has a path. This is how the aliasing system works. Without the path to the file the cabview error will occur. If one of the dials or needles is not aliased, it will not appear, but will not cause an error message.mervyn@madasafish.com

Cabview line in eng.file is pointing to c30-7.cvf. The cvf file in the Cabview folder is for the gp38. If you have any of the C30-7's from the file library using the C30-7 cab, just copy the cvf file from it's Cabview folder; and paste into the SP U33C Cabview folder. It is also a much better looking cab for the GE's than the gp38 cabview.
Hope this helps you out ! Ron K of Rockford
