As I re-install everything I am checking to see if there are updates, and I found SeaView 4. And the lovely pink engine. This time around I have vowed to read ALL the documentation, (which in my supposed mastery of installing engines I had not read before), of all the things I install. And lo and behold, I find the engine dedicated to me! I was so pleased, and I thank you so much. At the same time, I apologize for not reading it sooner, and acknowledging the honor. Thank you so much.AnnabellePS And you can't hide forever. I am GOING to find you this time!

You're welcome so much. "you can't hide forever", I was hiding?!To the Coconut God – image 1Haven't been posting a lot since I've been grinding away on PO&N7, but I've been here. Not my usual yakky self, but since a picture's worth a thousand words, here's 4,000 words:

RE: To the Coconut God.

Those trees look great. About the most realistic that I have seen. I think that one of the things that have been lacking in many routes are that the trees are too uniform and all the same size. Looks like you have overcome that problem.Rick, President/CEO

Hi Jim,The PO&N7 screenshots are looking great, as would be expected from anything you do. Really looking forward to #7 (and #8, #9, #10, etc).Question, how in the world have you doubled frame rates in most areas?Bill Burnett

Eh, where did my signature go?
Oh, here it is, the one you are reading right now? Can't you see it? I know I know, it is probably too bright to see it.
Anyway, I told you not waste time reading my signature! You have just wasted 10 seconds!

The Coconut God is hiding if you can't manage to get into the island. Around it, yes. Into it, HARD.The new PO&N looks absolutely wonderful. How soon? Not that I'm impatient or anything.Annabelle

Annabelle,
** News Flash ** News Flash **
The recent silence by the Coconut God, the rumors that the PO&N will be expanding, along with his (Sniper's) production of engine #1305 for Seaview 4, (The Annabelle) have all fueled rumors that Bill has him hidden somewhere else in SV4 !! Industry insiders speculate that there may be negotiations underway about interchange facilities between the two railroads !! This exclusive photograph of Port Iguana & Southern #297 has also fueled speculation that the PO&N might be leasing it's older equipment to a subsidiary of Seaview, in order to finance the expansion !! At the very least it may have gotten PO&N #297 a coat of pink primer !! Enjoy All !!

RE: To the Coconut God.

Thanks guys (and gals!). Bill, I've had a rather busy week (Dad had another stroke last week, he just came home from the hospital today), but I just now got around to posting my latest crazy experiment results:http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumID6/10640.htmlI dunno how much good that would do for Seaview, since it's a different kind of scenery (and you ARE an artistic genius, no matter what you may think!), but I get much better framerates on SV4 (even with all the animation!) than I did on PO&N6 anyway.Bob, I LOVE that pink engine, you gotta upload that!

Sniper,Sorry to hear the news about your Dad. I hope he'll be "on the mend" ASAP.Now my "Dirty Little Secret"I wish I could upload the engine, but it's just a little "thingy" out of Auran Paint Shed for MSTS. From what I understand, Auran put something in the model, or in the textures it creates, to make them "un-sharable". ??I've got to find the time to become a "real" re-skinner, one of these days. I use PS mostly to do stuff for my grand-daughter .... and to "bust your chops" about paint !!!!! Regards, Bob Kambach

RE: To the Coconut God.

Dear Sniper,I am sorry to hear about your Dad, I know how hard it is to have parents ill and needing help. And how nice he came 'home'. I was visiting a friend recovering from surgery in a top of the line rehabilitation-nursing home facility yesterday, (my first experience of such places), and I was appalled at the number of older persons abandoned, 'the nurses phrase', and alone. Sometimes you can't manage care at home and need round-the-clock care, but the people who were put there with love had cards, flowers, bears, books, tapes, etc. I know this is not the place for this but it has been on my mind today. I'm glad he's home, and I hope he makes good progress.Dear Rckambach,I want the engine! I see you said you can't share it because of Auran, but is there a way to change the file extensions and send it by email, then maybe I could put it in PhotoShop? (I don't really know EXACTLY what I'm talking about), but, thanks to you all I can change file extensions and save them. Or, my son showed me how to add file extensions in the 'recognized' list, and maybe I could add Auran's extensions? And Toby also said that if I could get it somewhere on my computer we could access it. Though BNSF Lady has been trying to get me to like that paint scheme, (and I'm trying), pink engines, and especially 'Annabelle' engines are my first love. Can't understand why. AnnabellePS Merging the 2 railroads? Fantastic, super, amazing, DESIRED, etc.

RE: To the Coconut God.

Dear Jonatan,I've still got it on CD, and I am restoring stuff slowly, (and reading everything), but I would be less than honest if I didn't admit that I have been riding around SeaView 4, looking for the Coconut God. I find it very addictive, and I have even been neglecting my work orders for NERR. That doesn't mean that I have forgotten your kindness, or consider it less of an honor, I am just plain having so much fun that I am neglecting other things. I will try to buckle down.Annabelle

( Bob thinks to himself … “Nice job Bozo … you post pictures and start rumors about two routes and who sees them first?? … the two route authors and the lady who likes pink engines !! Geez !! You’d better smooth this over quickly, or you’ll be lucky to get out of here alive”.)Bill,
Err… My apologies for repeating unsubstantiated rumors, If there really was such a subsidiary of Seaview, I guess that you really wouldn’t have picked a name that ended up being shortened to PI&S!! I guess I’d better check out my “paparazzi” sources a little better before I post pictures!! Annabelle,
As you can see from Bill’s comments and my response, the pink color can stay, but “minor” adjustments might have to be made to the road name. Maybe I’ll create a fictitious leasing company like PELX (Pink Engine Leasing) or PLLX (Pastel Locomotive Leasing) . That way, their locos could be run on both Seaview and the PO&N. Stay Tuned. On your suggestion to send along the files, I’d be happy to, but I was hoping that someone might first help to confirm my belief about the “sharability” issues. From what I know, I don’t think that PhotoShop editing would work. There aren’t too many folks here that use PS (or talk kindly about it) because of that problem, and the fact that the rolling stock choices that came with it are very limited and haven’t been or can’t be expanded to include more variety. Sniper,
Glad you liked it too!! I hope that the PO&N green will cover that pink when 297 returns to her home road!!Regards, Bob KambachPS: Can anyone confirm that the paint job on an average diesel loco adds 1500 pounds to its weight??? I saw that little “factoid” somewhere recently.
