Hi All..I had to do a reinstall..I put in disc 2 and get to 29% install and it stops at the file W-006156+014870.w and down at the bottom of the screen on the task bar Nero Apix shows up, when I click on it a window pops open and it says..Could not open driver, Trying system ASPI. Does anyone have any idea of what this is referring to or what it means? I click OK and the program finishes the install. Thanks for any info you can come up with..BYE..KeithmjAlso is disc 2 fixed so you can't copy it? I was wondering if my disc might be bad?
Hi Keith,Welcome to the forum. Are you using copied disks? I have not had success in copying them.Your problem indicates a file that cannot be read by the cd reader. Try installing from your writer and see what happens.Derek
One of the age old problems, when referring to others peoples' difficulties, is the difference in the PCs that we all have.I can copy the MSTS discs easily, others cannot. I install zipped files without unzipping, and they all work. Why, I have no idea, but Windows XP is a lot better than people give it credit for. David
Hi Derek..I am using the MSTS discs and using just the reader. The program works fine except with the age old problem of freezing up after running for awhile. I just didn't want to have problems later on..Thanks for the reply, and thanks to others that have answered...Keithmj

The 2nd CD of MSTS is copy protected using Safedisk copy protection. This is a common copy protection scheme. You are going to have to use the original disks to install. Search the internet for Safedisk and you should be able to find some information that will enrich your knowledge of the wonderful world of computers and may give you information that you need to make reliable backup archives of your original CDs Bill
