We had 'Coal to Newcastle', which really wasn't anywhere near. We had 'Blue Mountains', which was closer, but still not quite there. But now, we have 'SYD WEST', the first route for MSTS that PUTS SYDNEY ON THE MAP!!!The first stage in this project stretches from Seven Hills to Richmond, but after the 4th stage, simmers will be able to experience all of Sydney's west, from Penrith, to Parramatta, to Homebush! The creator of this magnificent creation is Ben Johnsonwho delivered us Stage 1 'on time and on budget' as he put it. You know, bugger Michael Costa, this man should be our Transport Minister. It is a great job too - I haven't been on the run to Richmond (at least that I can remember), but it is VERY Sydney. It reeks of Sydney. And that's good. Information and download is from this site:http://users.bigpond.net.au/webwrx/sydwestproject/and will shortly be added to the Train-Sim.com file library. I'll leave you now, on this historic day, with scenes from the milestone, that put Sydney on the MSTS map.World Headlines! Sydney on MSTS Map! – image 1

Who remembers this view, watching that other carriage bounce up and down like a trampoline every agonizing morning!

OK I should get back to promoting the route, not the train

Lovely scenery

'Be alert, but not alarmed' - well who is this suspicious looking guy?

Leaving 'SydWest' station - OK that's obviously a shameless piece of advertising, not the station name

Now if only Parramatta Road was like that in the evening

One of the best things about this route are the station sounds. You periodically hear that little announcer guy going 'the train on platform 2 goes to Blacktown. It seems so real!

Another S-Set at a station

Arriving at one of my favourite stations, Windsor. That rickety bridge looks like it could go through any second!

Oh for MSTS 2, when lots of little bodies would be scurrying around right now!

No scenery, but nice modelling on the station

Arriving for the last time, getting ready to leave the cab

Richmond station, end of the line! Well, that's a wrap. I'll see you next time!
