Hello group, I forgot to mention in the readme file that the latest version of xtracks and tsection.dat needs to be installed to use this route. Also make sure you leave the check box checked on the last screen of the installer. It says to leave the box check to start the P&WV Route after the install is complete. It does not start the route, it actually copies files from other routes into the P&WV route directory. As a last step, I recommend running Route Riter, found in the file library, to insure everything is OK with the route. I wish to thank Kevin on the heads up and I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.Take care, Rich S.
Please, I don't think you need to apologize at all! I downloaded and did the fixes, which by the way I learned how to do these things on my own now. The route is so well done. Me being a Pennsy fan, I can still run my stuff on this route. Very nice, looking forward to some activities, by the way will the old activities work on this one?. Thanks.Mike
Mike, I don't think the activities for version 1 will work. I made some changes to the track database. There were some rough places in the track work I just could not live with, plus I re-did all the signals. I do not know how much of a change the signals will mean, but if you try to load the old activities, you will probably end up with a lot of broken paths in the old activities. Yes you can run Pennsy stuff on the Washington Seconday, plus the Bridgeville and Morgan branch. Also the P&WV was a PennRoad for a number of years, around the same time as the DT&I. The biggest spotting feature of the PennRoad era is, when the 2-6-6-4 arrived on the property, they had the Pennsy Belpar<spelling?> fireboxes. As far as activities, Kevin is working on an activity and I hope to create a couple as well. There is one activity that I sent with the route, it is a introductory train ride so you can set back and look around, while the computer operates the train. After you've made the trip, just edit the ".act" file found in the Activities folder, changing the line that reads "Mode ( 0 ) to read Mode ( 2 )" and you should be set. I'm glad you are enjoying the route and thanks for the feedback.Take care, Rich S.
The Montour interchanged with PC/CR, only a very small part with the N&W. I worked at 3 of the mines and the prep plant on it and almost all of our coal went to customers on PC/CR.Kevin Arceneaux DEFAULT IS FOR DUMMIES Cry havoc and Let slip the dogs of war.
