I have unzipped the Techdocs from Disk 1 to find info about this, but it mentions nothing about my question.
When you look in the Carspawn.dat file for whatever route you see
CarSpawnerItem( "whatever.s" 4 )
What does the number 4 control, what happens if you make this number larger or smaller?
Thanks
Roger

RE: CarSpawnerItem Question

The number is an attempt to define 'spacing' value for the vehicle. I don't think it was implemented correctly (IMHO) but it is meant to include the lenght of the vehicle plus any space behind it before another vehicle can exist. This mostly comes into play when moving vehicles come to a stop at a level crossing as a train approaches. Too small of a value and it seems that the front of one vehicle is 'up the tail pipe' of the one in front.Remember that the measurements are in meters.Martyn T. Griffin

RE: CarSpawnerItem Question

Here is a copy of the carspawn.dat file from my NECv4 route. I changed some of the values (made larger) to prevent rear end collisions and it also seemed to work at preventing cars pulling too close to lowered crossing gates.SIMISA@@@@@@@@@@JINX0v1t______17
