Aug-12-01, 04:36 PM (EST) "Well I tried it and It worked.... :P + a moan and some info 4 you all!!!" Earler on this morning I downloaded the BNFA spent fuel (Nucelear waste) flask wagon from www.trainsimfiles.com ( which incidently the site is now down..... possibly too much bandwidth usage yet again) Damn its getting to be such a popular site.... (can anyone send me the Rocket Loco please email Hentis@08002go.com cheers)). Well I didnt think that I would be able to use the wagon with the American locos well I was wrong I managed to and I was impressed. Check pics:-
Also I managed to make the engine consist from the 4 Santa Fe engines which are shown at the start up of the install screen fro MTS, apart from the lead loco I think thats a geep all I had was a dash nine ( still getting used to your loco's ) seperating the locos were a BNSF Caboose plus an empty TTX trailer ( acting as barrier wagon) the flasks... 8 of them and another ttx empty and a UP cabooseand a Santa fe caboose. Its a bit of a fantasy really but it looks good going into Whitefish so there they are. Oh heres one of a flying BNSF caboose
This leads me to my moan. And its this PLease please please. If you are doing an activity please supply default locos and rolling stock or at least have the decency to tell us what the required downloads are and file names are as again this morning I have had to do a complete re-install of MTS and it's begginning to annoy me somewhat. I know some of you do but not all of you do.Also a bit of info for you incase the most of you dont know.
3dtrainstuff (http://www.3dtrainstuff.com/) are planning a route.... its called The Tehachapi Pass they are also planning on releasing engines as well heres the message.... :-Hi Guy's, Ok, here is what we plan to release first; For the USA, we will release shortly (within 2 weeks) an SD70M, SD60MAC, SW1200 cow and calf, with full custom cabs, also modelled cabs that can be seen from the outside looking in through the windows, and with driver and conductor's as well! As far as sounds go, since these are very hard to implement into the sim without more support from Microsoft, we will only be including a couple new sounds, like horns and bells. If and when we get more of it figured out, we'll offer free upgrades to those who have purchased the locomotives. Price will be $5 to $7 each, and will include a few different liveries. These will be offered via download only (no exceptions), over a secured server, and will require online registration before you can use them. Look for some screenshots on our products page coming very soon on these. Other locomotives in the works include the RS2, F40PH, GP9, SD9, and U50D. And then it's on to Steam Locomotives!! The Tehachapi Pass Route has been pushed out to October due to all the stuff that needs to be modelled for it (there is alot), however, the wait will be worth it I assure you, and we have decided to include both versions, a modern and 50's, with locomotives and trainsets like the Cab Forward, TankTrain, and others included. Price under $35, and will ship on CD. For the UK, we will release shortly three steam locomotives with full custom cabs for each, some new sounds, a Midland Fowler 4-F class 0-6-0 Freight Locomotive, a Midland Fowler 0-6-0T class Tank Locomotive, and a Kitson 0-4-0ST Dock Shunter. And several different tank and wagons in five different liveries of the 30's era. Look for some screenshots on our products page coming very soon on these. Price TBA. Our Internet Merchant Account is almost setup, and we are using VeriSign's PayFlow system, so we are almost there! Thanks for being patient. Cheers,
Brad Brown 3D Train Stuff
