Aug-12-01, 11:30 AM (EST) "Help! Frame Rates At Best 5-10fps" Who can help with this issue. I know there are a lot of postings about slow frame rates on MSTS but many are complaining about rates of 20-30fps. The best I get is 10 fps from an internal view and 5 fps from external. At this point I'd be completly happy with 15fps. Microsoft was very polite but no help (suprised?).Computer is a HP Pentium III with 650MHZ. 384 SDRAMM and a NVIDIA GeForce 2mx200 32MB AGP video card with the latest update downloads. I have 88% available memory with only a couple items running in the background. Slider controls in the game options menu have little to no effect. MSTS is the only external program I've loaded onto the comuter. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

If not, rirst try control alt delete: systray and explorer should only be runnng. If that helps use EnditAll to do the same thing. Settings on the video card might help. Desktop, right click, properties, settings, advanced, ...Also MSTS comes with a troubleshooter utility... Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Frame Rates At Best 5-10fps" LAST EDITED ON Aug-13-01 AT 11:56 AM (EST)I've a hint, read in a computermagazin, with that amount of sdram you can in the setup of your BIOS raise the video aperture from 64Mb to 128 Mb. In my system Pentium II 350Mz, Matrox 400 and 256 Mb memory, it works fine. Frame rate mostly 15 to 25 Fps.Joop Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
