Aug-12-01, 01:47 AM (EST) "Sticking brakes" Has anyone had this problem? While switching cars in an activity, the cars seem to have their brakes on. Now I know the little SW1200 is a bit pokey, but, full throttle to move two box cars and a caboose at 4 MPH? This happens with only certain cars and all the bay-window crummies. I was running around a freight I just put together in Whitefish with only two GP-38's and a caboose and I swear it took 100% throttle to pull that hack around! Is there a way to go in and adjust the brakes?( Ya, I checked the Train Operations Window to see if any brakes were left on, and they weren't.)
I'd sure appreciate some input on this as the cost of diesel fuel is high enough without having the added expense of "widening on 'er" to push 2 cars 4mph a mile or so! It gets a bit tricky coupling too!
Thanks for all your help!

Aug-12-01, 06:05 AM (EST) 1. "RE: Sticking brakes" I've been having this problem pretty consistently when coupling cars to the front of the loc. Never had it when coupling them to the rear. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-12-01, 07:33 AM (EST) 2. "RE: Sticking brakes" There's a bug in the program that does not allow proper behavior if you use the front coupler on your locomotive. It acts just as you describe. I've not had any problem what so ever when coupled to the rear coupler. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
