Aug-11-01, 05:00 PM (EST) "Funny Little Thing About That Stephenson Rocket" That little Stephenson Rocket acts just like my old Lionel # 50 bumper car. If you owned Lionel trains you may remember these little track cars and trolleys. They came in a variety of types and colors, but all had something in common. When you hit a bumper at the end of the track and instead of derailing, they would simply reverse.I tried the same thing with the Stephenson Rocket. Lo and behold when it hit the fence and the end of a siding, it bounced off and went into reverse! (Yes, I have derailments turned on.)Here's an example of what I mean. This shot was taken just moments after bouncing off the end-of-track fence at Carlisle Siding 3:
Now look what happened when I tried the same thing at the same location and speed with the Baldwin Pacific:
No bouncing off the track bumper here!Jeff Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I know I've tried at least a dozen times and always get the msg that the site is busy and to "try again later".......smokeyjoe Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Aug-12-01, 10:52 AM (EST) 2. "RE: Funny Little Thing About That Stephenson Rocket" The site that holds the download keeps hitting it's daily bandwidth limit, so the owner(s) have put some restrictions on the amount of connections / downloads etc.Keep trying it is well worth it!As for the rebounding Rocket, two things spring to mind... "They don't make them like they used to." and "Buy British!" Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
