You know, I've been meaning to ask this for some time now and I'm sure it may have been posted some time ago but anyway........ why is it the trucks of reversed locos in a lash-up don't turn properly on curved sections of track? Is there a way around this besides recreating the entire loco?Thanks.Darren.
Hi,It's a bug. And you don't need to rebuild the entire loco. Just turn it by 180 degrees. It seems that ShapeFileManager can do this. Several loco's done by Dick Cowen come in a normal and a reversed version and they are doing fine.Just to be somewhat more clear: - create a copy of the original loco and give it a new name. (eng, s and sd file) - turn the loco by 180 degrees, by manipulating the .s file with SFMDick van den Hoven
>- turn the loco by 180 degrees, by manipulating the .s file >with SFM I have done this with a GN SD9, and found that all the textures for the sides have gone transparent. (Kind of neat looking though, trucks, frame, and top -- with exhaust -- and nothing in between.) I figure I have to do something to the .ace files, but I haven't figured out what. Any ideas?Brad Meyer
