"RE: WOW is all i can Realy say about "Port Ogden and Northern "" I keep getting derails when the type of rail used (Dynamic rail?) changes from Coal City to Johnsburg (on the loop). Also, if I have two locos lashed together at some points they misteriously separate and wind up facing each other. Third point, when moving out of the yard at Coal City a mysterious piece of track just disappears and the engine derails. Any clues as to what is happening. The overall layout is fascinating and that grade out of the mine to the main is awesome! I wish I could get it to run without the derails.

Aug-12-01, 01:12 AM (EST) 2. "RE: WOW is all i can Realy say about "Port Ogden and Northern "" I have been running the route for 2 days now ( 6 hours today because its Saturday and im off ) made several trains, diesel
power with different engine types and a large assortment of cars.
had no problems what so ever,, I did post some screen shots this morning of some wrecks that i did for fun. i made up some simple activities also again no problem.. I thank Sniper for a great route !!Running the route here on a 300 mzh celeron system with 192 megs of ram and a voodoo3 card and onboard soundcard (Compaq) getting frame rates any where from 10 to 20 which is on the low side but playable. Also running the route on a 500 mzh Pennium with 256 megs of ram
and a voodoo3 card, sound blaster live card.. getting frame rates
of 17 to 35 with the game sliders set at 3/4 way to max .. which is smooth play for this system and better than the celeron Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: WOW is all i can Realy say about "Port Ogden and Northern "" I don't think framerates are the problem since mine are nominal......not as high as yours even with my PIII 750mhk because my video card is "on board" and is an Intel 810 processor so the rates aren't smooth but acceptable.....I can't figure out why I'm getting derails at the same key spots outside Coal City and on the loop at precisely the same location. I noticed on the loop a kink in the track where two sections had been joined together. Check this out on the downgrade between the first two tunnels from Coal City to Johnsburg......see what you think!
