Will Route Riter work properly when you have used Train Store to "store away" unneeded files? Do you meed to run the 'Maintenace mode' in Train Store? I have not yet installed Train Store, so if this is explained in the Train Store PDF file, just let me know abd I will do the installation tonight.

RE: Route Riter with Train Store

Route Riter will work, you just have to remember which routes are in store, and which routes are active. If you run with just one route active it makes the job easier when using Route Riter to check consists and activities. You only need to run Maintainence mode if you need more stock available to make up new consists. There is a good deal more in this new version of Train Store that I havent checked out yet, but it is all in the PDF.

RE: Route Riter with Train Store

Route Riter is expecting to see a full MSTS Route. Also, you are quite likely to use it to change things in a Route. For both of these reasons, it is only sensible to regard it as Maintenance, and therefore unstore the Routes that you want to process with Route Riter by using the Prepare function in Maintenance Mode. These topics are covered in the manual (pp 39-41, 85).

RE: Route Riter with Train Store

Yes, the two programs work fine together. Of course RR will only check those activities which are not being stored at the time of doing the 'Check all Activities'. Similarly, it can not check rolling stock which is being stored as the .eng/.wag files are no longer in the MSTS folders.Route-Riter can however still be used to package a route, or to check a route, as all the Default shapes/textures/terrtex files are still in their normal position in MSTS.Mike
