I was watching a show last night on RFDTV about the Last run of the Amador Central... a short line 12 mile run owned by Georga Pacific Lumber Company in California and the engine that was running was a SW-900 I think or a 1200 anyway I want to do a repaint of it since it was a fallen flag and a little known Line.
I was wondering if any of you From California have any Pictures of it and would be kind enuf to share them with me.Don Pottorff

RE: Last Run Of the Amador Central

Henry Patey is doing this route and he has information on it. You might want to contact him about it. You know Henry from the many activies he wrote for Ohio Rail which I believe are here in the library or over at avsim. Try contacting him and maybe he can help you out on what you're looking for.Rich Garber

RE: Last Run Of the Amador Central

wow that is great I will be doing the locomotive that runs on that line. it seems that every repaint I am doing there is a route for them. with execption of the Kyle Railroad company that is but I am working on two SP Steam engines for I guess the TP2 as it seems that alot of SP run on it by the screenshots and the California Coastal Route and TA's SP route they are working on.
and the multiple routes for the AT&SF if I could get the one to work i have Raton PassDon Pottorff

RE: Last Run Of the Amador Central

Hey Don, Don't mark them off your list. Henry Patey paid me to paint these for him, so they are his engines. I would like to share but am unable to being as Henry owns them and paid for the paintjobs. He is currently working on the Amador Central route you mention. No release date has been posted yet I just posted a pic showing what they look like in the sim. Jim

RE: Last Run Of the Amador Central

I was just going to do number 11 as it was the one shown running in the show about the Amador Centeral I was watching.
Now that I have the First three of my projects out of my way I will be trying to start on the next few but I have one that I am working on and it will be a while before I get it done as I am painting it from scratch and its from a subsidurary of States Rail Called Kyle Railroad Company wich runs thru my home town here in Eastern Colorado along I-70 and Highway 24Don Pottorff

RE: Last Run Of the Amador Central

I guess since you still want me to do the repaint I will. however from the picture it looks like it will be hard to top what you have done but I will give it a try
I havent been into diesels that much as I am really just a Steam Fan not really a true rail fan. However I was watching a show on RFDTV and thought it would be a nice tribute to a Fallin flag to paint one.
and now it looks more and more like Kyle has joined the rankes however I am not sure as there are alot of things that point that they have and some that point to that they havnt. one I have not seen any of UP's Rail Trucks around here just the old Kyle on that I see everyonce and a while and no one but my father is saying that Kyle has fallen. However I keep running into documents online that was a Court order from UP to Kyle to stop operations on one of there lines.
I would have no idea why Union Pacific would want use of this line as the only items that cross over these lines are Farm Commodities Such as Grain and Oils extracted from Sunflowers and Fertilizer. at both ends of the line is a UP line that intercets one that runs to Denver from southern Colorado and the other I have no idea cause I have never been there but perhaps UP would like a connecting line or somethingDon Pottorff

RE: Last Run Of the Amador Central

Hi, I have been working on this Short Line. Got the track all layed and working on scenary. check out this link. My approach is somewhat different in that the ACRR route will start around 1950 and as new updates are made, the "time" roles forward, which will be noted in the "Sacramento Buzz." As I did not get any real responses to the idea of the "Sacramento Buzz" angle, I had slowed down production..http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumID3/18242.htmlSkyRat
