Is somebody willing to create a route from the Northeast Corridor up to Pennsylvania Station in New York City and beyond to cities such as Providence and Boston? Microsoft shamed me when it ended the route at Philly.

RE: New York Extension

Well you can. Certain folks have used it in the loco forum at times band have been ganged up on by loco designers! I Don't think we ought to do it in this forum because I hear that route designers are more vicious than loco designers when the "V' word is used! MD

RE: New York Extension

I second that...I still say that Loco Designers can be vicious when it comes to that "V" word...

Okay that maybe true but some people told me the route was not done very well. Like trucks in the air and not very good scenery. Is this true?

As a route designer, I'd say judge not lest you be judged. I just downloaded simmer joe's route. He's done a fine job with the trackage and the catenary system. The route's only real problems are lack of scenery except in Providence and Boston and the missing consists (and accompanying rolling stock). My folks live in a high rise apartment house across from the Providence Amquack station and I seen the area and joe has engaged in some fictionalization, but so did I when I put the Middle Division together. I would only hope that joe would not issue another edition until he finishes off the signaling and the scenery. I ran the Broadway Limited via a GG-1 from Southj Station to Providence Amquack (spelling intentional) Station in 45 minutes. lLots of flat land and highway. I look forward to the final version. I loved pulling into PVD with a GG-1.

I agree; Mike's description is right on. (Edit: I like running an 0-6-0 steamer I borrow from Garber's Ohio RR with the antique OCN wooden carriages by Kenson under those catenaries. )Charlie

The route is getting better all the time. As Joe continues to work on it, the scenery and stations and placements get better all the time. Considering it is a WIP, he is doing a great job.
