Updated Xtracks to the latest version and now Train-Sim crashes when I try to start the program. Downloaded Horace but can't get the program to run. What is the secret to running horace to update the exixting routes to Xtracks version 3.6Nascarphan
I much doubt you need to use Horace. Train-Sim crashes is not the problem Horace cures. If you're updating from XTracks 3 dot something it should be very simple install and forget procedure. If you have not used XTracks before you would only need to run Horace on a route you have under development and that you will continue to lay tracks in. Other routes like the originals you should leave as are. If Horace won't start you probably need the full installation version which includes the VB6 run-time dll's.To me it sounds like either you have not read and followed the instructions thereby placing the files in the wrong location. Or, you have some route that does not live well with the standardized tsection.dat. Do you have either the Las Vegas Maglev route or the Chicago Elevated? If so you need to move those out of the routes folder.
