Hip Hip Hurrah ! to 3DTrainStuff for Tehachapi Pass Ro – image 1

Hello 3dtrainstuff's team Many persons wrote $29.95 is to much for an addon..........
I Would want simply to everybody that "Tehachapi Pass Route II" is the most beautiful road that I bought and that the price for this road is very just because the work of "3dtrainstuff" is really fabulous.
Still thank you in all the team of "3dtrainstuff" for the quality of this road.
I do not know the real "Tehachapi" because I live in France, but when I want to feel cool and to relax, I take my locomotive and I drive on "Tehachapi 2" the route of the relaxation and the beauty.Verry good job,I am really happy to have bought "Tehachapi 2". Roderizator.

RE: Hip Hip Hurrah !! to 3DTrainStuff for Tehachapi Pas

I lot of people are coming to realize that the price is indeed very much worth it for such a fine add-on. Take it from someone who knows the real Tehachapi in and out, they nailed perfectly, except for 3 tunnels at Cable which were left out because of grid issues, but they were in fact there in the beta I tested but later had to be removed.Dont' forget to download the guide for TPII, which has a detailed history of the pass, as well as a guide, photos of the real Tehachapi, and a Trains of Tehachapi page to help you with realsitic operations both pre and most mergers.Chris Bogley

I second that.I don't understand people who don't mind paying 1500 dollars for a computer to run MSTS, 300 or more dollars for the best video on the market, but balk at 29 paying dollars for what has to be the best route yet. Show me another one that has details like railfan cars parked at the loop, orange groves with ripe oranges on the trees, vinyards, windmill farms on the pass, working oil wells, and even an 18 wheeler pulled over to the side of the highway by the California Highway Patrol.Kudos to guys at 3D TrainStuff. You hit this one right out of the ball park.Noel

RE: Hip Hip Hurrah !! to 3DTrainStuff for Tehachapi Pas

I was slightly taken aback by the level of detail and the over-all look of the route "interior". After playing a few activities I must say it can be challenging and the "boredom" factor is zero. Got to keep on your toes...constantly. That, to me, is the fun part. 3DTS pulled the stops on this one. Cajon Pass is another great route, but I must confess I am having more fun with this one. I for one can appreciate the detail and attention that was put into this work (and there was alot of work...hundreds of hours). I have never been to Tehachapi Pass (or Loop), but from what I am hearing it's a very close facsimily. I will not comment on the subtle things I saw, but I found alot of things amusing that the authors (John Greenstone and friends) had inserted into this "world". The activities are well thought out and by adhering to the "rules" and directions these activities's outcomes are right on the money. I can see a few disgruntled folks when it comes to some of these activities, but hey...this is a simulator and the developers tried very hard to transpose the real world into the virtual world of the sim.Is TP2 worth the money? Yes. The incredible detail, object creation let alone stock models and textures, CD burning, CD materials, postage (FREE??), databases, legal issues, payroll, advertisment. All has to be clumped in there some how. Plus all the manhours needed to make something like this might be incomprehencible for some, but believe me...I know. It's alot of work and skill. Anyway... for those that buy the route, you won't be disappointed. Kip

RE: Hip Hip Hurrah !! to 3DTrainStuff for Tehachapi Pas

It is indeed a beautiful route, but I only get to enjoy all the detail at an unacceptable 3-4 fps. To get to a barely acceptable fps of 15 fps, I have to turn the performance/quality slider down half way, losing the lush detail of the billboards, train textures, everything. I have a lowly 1.4G IBM Thinkpad T30. I know...I know...it has a measly video driver (16 MB? I don't even remember since I don't think I can upgrade it anyway on a laptop). I guess I do need to upgrade to a real desktop system. I however, do mind, spending $1000's on a new computer. So, I am disappointed. However, I think the 3rd party developers are doing a great job. They are very creative and talented and it shows.

Dear John G, I am sure that your team worked hard to obtain such a result and quality and beauty is here.
I possess several roads, some months ago, I had bought "Cajon Pass Route - High Desert Rails Edition" + "Cajon Pass Expansion Pack" and I was fall in love of this road because your work was really of very big quality.
But with "Tehachapi Pass Route II" you created one small jewels, I believe that all people who bought "Tehachapi Pass Route II" will agree with me, "Tehachapi Pass Route II" is the most beautiful of roads.
This road in something magic, me I live in France and well when I want to travel in your country, I am going to make a tour on the road of "Tehachai 2", THE ROAD TO HEAVEN.
Continue to dream us with products of this qualityThank you for your job and excuse me if my English is not good enough because I don't speak English.

No need to apologize for your English. Heck, I cannot even speak a foreign language much less write in one. Besides, your thoughts are certainly quite clear. You guys may even motivate me to part with the $29.Rick, President/CEO

RE: Hip Hip Hurrah !! to 3DTrainStuff for Tehachapi Pas

I have two questions for those who have just purchasded Tehachapi Pass 2.
Does Tehachapi Pass come with any new cab views other than ones which came with the Cajon Pass? Does Tehachapi Pass 2 come with the night time cab views which were released in the recenty released Cajon Pass expansion pack? Thanks GLG

Some of the units comewith the cabviews for nighttime running. As far as new units, really the only new units driveable is a SJVRR GP 9, #1754, and then a AI only ATSF sharp looking F45 which they have hinted as being driveable in a future TPII Expansion Pack due out lat this summer.Chris Bogley

Click to send message via ICQ

I'm sure it could be converted to be driveable.
