I recently reinstalled everything on my computer. Everything seems to be working fine except I am now having trouble with making corrections through wordpad.(It had previously worked fine!). When ConBuilder lists the errors, I click on the error line which brings me to wordpad. After making the changes and I attempt to save, wordpad asks "MP-54.eng already exists. Do you want to replace it?" When I click yes, I get the following message "Access to C:\Program Files\MicrosoftGames\Trainsimulator\Trains\trainset\MP-54.eng is denied."
I've tried it with several engines and have not been allowed to make corrections. I have also tried using wordpad outside of ConBuilder so i don't know if it's a problem with ConBuilder or Wordpad, but both worked fine prior to my reinstall.John

If you recently reinstalled everything, I'm assuming you installed somethings from backup. If so, these may have come from a cd that you burned. If so, they all got converted to "Read Only" files when you pasted them back on your pc. If so, you can't overwrite them with wordpad (or any other editing tool like MakeAce) until you uncheck the "Read Only" box in the file's properties. Just a guess. Good luck.

No problem! Glad it worked out for you. You'll have to check all your files, though, which can be cumbersom. There is a little program out there somewhere that adds a "Clear Read Only Attributes" as an option whenever you right-click on a folder, but I can't remember the name of the program or where I got it. Someone here on the forums suggested, though, so do a search for "Read Only" and I'm sure you'll find it.
