I downloaded the NJC15.zip route a few days ago and cannot get it to install properly. It is labeled as a standalone download with no updates that I can find. After installation I ran it through Route Riter and there are several pages (if printed) of missing files and it doesn't show up anywhere I can find in my MSTS folders. I did notice the batch file during installation only runs a matter of seconds as opposed to most routes of that size take an average of 1-2 minutes to run the batch files. There isn't a read me in the zip file to tell me of any special procedures so I just tried to install the route like all other routes. In fact I tried it in the primary MSTS file and the Routes file both to no avail. If there is anything I am missing can somebody please lead me to what I need to make the route work properly.Yes I did install XTracks 3.5 prior to installing NJC15.Thanks in advance for any info.Ken B.

RE: Newark & Jersey City Route Question

Mike,From what I understood you didn't need to download the 4 zip files because the njc15.zip was a compilation of those and a standalone download/install.I am subject to misinterpertaion so if I need to D/L all 5 files I guess it's back to the drawing board. Thanks for your reply.Ken B.

RE: Newark & Jersey City Route Question

Ken,
It's a massive route. Download the following zip files only.
njc15_p1.zip njc15_p2.zip njc15_p3 njc15_p4. This should solve your problem. My Computer specs are in my profile

RE: Newark & Jersey City Route Question

Ken:
I just installed ncj15 and I found the following. When I extracted the zip file it unpacked into C:Transimulator instead of C:program files\Microsoft Games\Trainsimulator. As a result it ended up in a new C:tainsimulator folder. I opened this and found a routes folder and a trains foulder containing consist files. I moved the contents of the route folder to the proper routes folder and consists to the consist folder. Ran the install bat and away she went. I only used the 1 download file njc15.zip (65.9meg). Great route.
Hope this helps.Al S

LAST EDITED ON Apr-26-03 AT 07:58 PM (EDT)

Hi all,
I would like to apologize for some mis-leading information.
The file Ken was refering to was indeed the entire njc route.
The file was dated 03/09/03. The files I quoted Ken were dated 03/10/03 & were the same files broken up for 56k modems.
Well, I should never offer advice when I am too tired.
EDIT:I also download my routes to a temp folder, just in case.
That way if there is a problem with the file structure, I will note it. My Computer specs are in my profile
