NEC 4.0 Quick Question – image 1

This may sound pretty stupid, but I've got to ask: NEC 4.0 doesn't tinker with anything in the default NEC, does it? I'm just about set to go and get 4.0, but I'm hesitant to tinker with what already works, and works well. Thanks!

RE: NEC 4.0 Quick Question

It has not seemed to bother mine. I don't think it will write anything to the old route, just extract files which it will use in its own folder.

RE: NEC 4.0 Quick Question

Nothing to tinker with, as it is a seperate install. In fact you must have the default version present, un-tinkered with on order for the batch file to run. NEC has a self installer, and is one of the easier routes to install. Once you run the NEC 4, you'll never go back to default NEC again.Chris Bogley

RE: NEC 4.0 Quick Question

I recon.NECv4 looks, run and sounds better than the default with more detail plus the CSX extension. One thing i noticed, interesting use with the new carrollton default station. Looks really good hehehehe.
Go New Carrollton default.Justin
