Any one know where i can find some good Santa fe locos from. I'm bored of the BNSF locos now. in fact any one know any good locos- preferably ones prototypical to the Marias Pass route?
try http://www.3dtrains.com I know he has ATSF payware, but I'm pretty sure he has a couple of "freebies" also. In the download area of this forum, try entering 'SF,' 'ATSF' and 'Santa Fe' in the "search" box. I've found everything from GP-9's to repainted Dash-9's. (F's, GP's, SD's, U-Boats, you name it)
JOhn Oldrailfan Railfan means anything on rails! Trains Trolleys Rollercoasters - you name it.
Right now it's a BNSF line, but before the 1995 merger, the line was owned by Burlington Northern (BN). Before BN was formed in 1970, the line was owned by the Great Northern Railway, who had originally built it in the 1890's. Before the BNSF merger, ATSF power on Marias Pass was extremly rare, as it was cosidered "foreign power" on the line. Today, ex-ATSF engines still decked in Warbonnet paint are quite common on Marias Pass. Jonathan Nikiforovs. Milepost 180, CP Belleville Sub.
ATSF is Santa Fe. Have you tried doing a search for Santa Fe or ATSF loco's in the files section here? I got a nice GP 60, B23, ans several SD 40's and SD 45's from train-sim. As for routes that use to have ATSF power, Raton, Cajon, Tehachapi.
