Are there any Canadian routes underway other than the near release of KHP 2.0? I thought I saw someone working on Crowsnest Pass a while ago??? Jared

You could probably hide Jimmy Hoffa in the Mount MacDonald Tunnel and no one would notice.

I believe MLT is doing the CN Dundas. From Hints on there forums indicating so.Eventually i'll be doing CN around Oakville Ontario, maybe from Toronto union to Hamilton on the CP for GO trains.

I'm participating in the BC Rail Squamish Subdivision Project. We are just moving into the terrain generation phase. Without the free DEM available to others it might take us awhile to hand trace the contours to create the terrain, especially since BC has an abundance of contours - Andrew

That's why I started with the BC Rail Port Division (Delta is nice and flat). Should get a good handle on the route editor and extend the line(s) to North Bend/Boston Bar. Steven

Funny, that was the piece of track I started fooling around with myself...I drive by it 3 times a week and it is pretty flat. Are you gonna do both sides of the river? Hell of a lot of track in and around Vancouver that's just itching to be modelled. I think Kamloops-Hope, Hope-Vancouver would be cool to do. Big job though...probably need to have a bunch of people working on it.

Both sides of river? Yes. This is definitely a long term project, CP/CN have an agreement that combine the trackage (loaded coal over CN/empties over CP).Trackage in Vancouver? A little bit at a time. There is definitely alot to choose from: BCR, BNSF, CN, CP, SRY for frieght; Amtrak, Rocky Mountaineer, VIA, West Coast Express for passenger. Plenty to choose from!

Well if you think you might like some assistance with any of those little bits, let me know. It's all within driving distance.

RE: Any Canadian Routes in progress or in planning?

I am flying from England tomorrow and then railing across Canada from Halifax on the East coast to Vancouver. The first part of the journey from Halifax to Jasper is by Via Rail and then from Banff to Vancouver by Rocky Mountaineer. What Locos should I look out for while over there? David

Well....When you get to Halifax, you can look for CN GP9, GP38,
SD40-2W, SD50, SD60, SD70, and SD75I, and Dash-9's. Your Train will likely be pulled by either one or two VIA Rail F40PH's. When you get to Toronto, you can look for VIA Rail P42 Genesis in the Renissance scheme, Ontario Northland F-7's and GP38's, GO Transit F59's, and you may see the odd CN or CP switchers. As you go across the continent, keep an eye peeled for CP SD40's and Dash-9's and SD90MAC's. Your Rocky Mountaineer will probably be pulled by ex CN GP38-2W's. You're pretty much going to see it all. When you're in Ontario, have a look for GT SD40 and SD38's. They're beoming more and more rare to see in their blue paint! Hope you have a nice trip in our beautiful country!Cheers!

I wanna highball it through Woodstock, Ont. on none other than...THE TURBOTRAIN!!!
