On the "Coupler Broken" error, I did correction Number 2, viz. I
removed the ESB_Bounding_Box line in the 4 files specified. But I still get broken couplings near Java. Is this due to my continuing
with previously saved activities?

RE: Marias Pass Correction

Almost certainly. When you save a game, everything gets saved with it, saved games are enormous! You can aslo solve the problem by getting Engmod from the downloads section, and altering break settings for the engines and wagons concerned. And while you are about it, change breaks for everything else too! you can do it in multiples.David

RE: Marias Pass Correction

Thank you very much for your advice; I shall try to get hold of
ENGMOD. The reason I was lazy in continuing with a saved activiy,
is because I was in the NOON MIDDAY MIXED FREIGHT activity which is
rather lengthy.
Best regards
Henry Amberg

RE: Marias Pass Correction

If you modify the eng/wag files of a train you have in a saved activity, the save will still work, but with your mods in place. The thing that stops a saved game dead is changing the actual stock items, for instance swapping a loco for a different one will call up the send/dont send.mervyn@madasafish.com

RE: Marias Pass Correction

Hi David,
Just to close my post about the broken couplers: I got EngMod and
changed the BREAK, DAMPING and STIFFNESS values as suggested in
another post. I did it initially only on the dash-9 and on selected
wagons. After that I successfully got to the end.For your information: as Baldwin suggested, lazy me could do the
continuation with the SAVE, taken just before the catastrophic. Thanks a lot!
