For anyone from 3DTrains, I've ordered the Cajon Pass Activity and will also be ordering Tehachapi II when it's released. I was wondering if it would be possible to run the lenght of the Cajon activity and continue on to the Tehachapi II activity? Can these areas link up and do you plan on any activities that would take advantage of their closeness to one another? Thanks.Pete
Well, the way they're set up now, they both connect very close in Mojave. They might even overlap in the Mojave yard, now that I think about it. You can't presently (with the Cajon route and the Tehachapi Developers Route) continue from one to another, without switching routes. I would imagine the same limitations would apply to Tehachapi II. Admittedly, it would be a fun idea though.
One thing you can do is what I've done is make an activity that starts in Bakersfield on Tehachapi and for the finish time in Mojave create an activity in Cajon that continues on from there.I did a 4 parter that goes from Bakersfield to Barstow, then the trains humped at Barstow then from there runs down to San Berdo. Just Rollin Down The Tracks Dale
What would be great would be to make a run from Colton up to the Roseville yards, if it still exsists. I've been away from railroading for years but MSTS and the Cajon Pass Activity have awaken my interest in the Ess Pee. I live in Palmdale, CA and I'm thinking of adding some lineside items along the route out of Palmdale upto Mojave such as the MetroLink station in Lancaster and Lockheed's facility in Palmdale. Don't know how tough it would be to add these to the Cajon Pass Activity but I'll give it a try once I get the route.Pete
Pete,Yes, Tehachapi II (to be released late March) will have many activities that tie in with the ones that came with the Cajon Pass route and also the soon to be released Cajon Pass Route - High Desert Rails Expansion Pack..more news on that one very soon. And btw, the Cajon Pass Route already has the MetroLink station setup in Lancaster Keep'em on the high iron!Best regards, Brad Brownwww.3DTrainStuff.com
