well, like what's his name with the Port Ogden and Northern route, I got the same mesasge when I loaded the Illinois Northern Route. The terrain buffers were built (which tells me that I did something right), it boots me out to the desktop teling me that the Train World initilization file failed. Also there appears to be no consists or paths, and I installed everything according to the read-me. I'd like to know if anyone else has this problem and if anyone has solved it. I have Port Ogden and Northern installed and I didn't have that problem. With the Illinois Northern route I do. Oh yeah I have the latest version of XTracks too or else i would not be able to run MP3.1 I also have the locomotives as well that were packaged separately

RE: Problems with the illinois Northern Route

Did you run the installation.bat? The route is short and fun and I think that you will enjoy once you have it up and running!

RE: Problems with the illinois Northern Route

To get past the Train World Init failed error message, try this--\Copy the \EnvFiles folder from
\Train Simulator\templatesto the Route where you are getting the error message.

Click to send message via ICQ

Also see the Route Forum for a small zip of some needed shapes that go in your GLOBAL\Shapes Folder. John

RE: Problems with the illinois Northern Route

I can't even get the route to show up in the selection menu of the route and activity selection screen. Anyone have any idea on how to correct this? Thanks in advance.
