RE: Beautiful Engine /Terrible Power sp 44-9w

I check the file, and the line in the brake definitions is what is causing your problem. This is not anything wrong, except with the line as it is in the original file, the brake system starts without enough air to release the brake cylinders. If you watch the brake pressures, the system will take several minutes to pump up to the 50+ pound point in the brake line, where brake cylinders begin to be released. After the brake line pressure reachs about 67 pounds, the cylinder pressure will drop to 0, and the train will move away normally.
If you you don't want to wait for the brakes to release, you need to add the line described earlier to replace the original brake definition line. Just copy the line and paste over the original in EXACTLY the same position. Be very careful not to add or delete any parenthesis.
Hope this is helpful,
Bob

Check this line in the .eng file:
Notch ( 0.3 1 TrainBrakesControllerGraduatedSelfLapLimitedHoldingStart )
if the line reads:
Notch ( 0.3 1 TrainBrakesControllerGraduatedSelfLapLimitedStart )
you will want to modify the line to read as the first above.

I downloaded this morning, switched the sounds to those of the NALW GE's, and have pulled a 85 car manifest with no power problems.
