That's fine if you have a good video card to go with it. Try a nVidia GeForce 4 128 mb AGP DDR card and you'll be smokin'!

RE: 2.1 GHZ

If you can afford it, get the 3.06 ghz. Allows dual processing with the same chip. On MSTS even in the most dense scenary areas, I get no less than 30fps.

Whoa dude, that some serious 'puting power.Must be NICE to see the loaded areas smooth as silk. (Except for the tile loading stutter, I figure.)What would it cost to build such a box w/a good card, etc? (no monitor)Andre

Just bought myself a new Alienware computer.
2.8 Ghz
1 GB RDRAM
Radeon 128 MB 9700PRO graphics card
200GB 7200RPM Hard driveInstalled train sim and ran a 220 car train with no drag at all with all graphics maxed out and used all outside veiws. So I know that will work! Paid $2,850 for the tower alone. Serious hardware, but I hope to not have to update for a couple of years.

RE: 2.1 GHZ

Andre; It's a 3.06, 1gig Ram, 80 gig HD and 128 Nvidia Geforce 4 and 17" monitor. I paid 2200 but that included a back up power supply and Best Buy warrenty plan, I think the puter was 1800. I know before you go off on the plan, don't please! : ) I only get them on very expensive stuff and use the plan. Like on my cell phones, after 18 months walk back in and get a new phone at no cost.

RE: 2.1 GHZ

Kelley;YOUR BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You have been missed dude. It's the Intel P4. Starting with the 3.06 ghz speed, the chip is dual processing, or hyper threading as I think Intel calls it.
