Has anyone addressed the scenary problem in the Barstow yard on the Cajon route??? I heard someone call it the "white" void!!! Was just wondering if 3-D or anyone else has come up with a fix for this. Anyone know what causes it? Thanks......Trainman_43Stephen
To answer your question Robert, the problem cannot be fixed, and it is just one of those things that can't be fixed. The same problem is on the Blueridge Route, Conrail Indy Route, and as Robert Reedy as indicated, version 2 of his ADFRR route may also have a white void. Luckily with Cajon, it is at the end of the route, not the beginning or the middle.
"....anyone else has come up with a fix for this...."Stephen, whilst there is no permanent cure, you can overcome the annoyance by waiting until your entire train is in the void, save the game, exit MTS, fire it up again from scratch and then load the saved game.Bruce.
Stephen,The problem is only a west to eastward problem across UTM boundries, and is a bug in the Microsoft Train Simulator program, so if you start an activity east of Barstow the problem does not exist. It is also not necessary to completely exit the sim to fix the problem, just save your activity once in the white void, exit out the activity, and then reload it and the terrain then draws..so save and reload. The CajonManual.doc in the CAJON route folder also mentions this problem and the work around. We hope that Kuju fixes the problem for version 2..Best regards, Brad Brownwww.3DTrainStuff.com
