I have just reinstalled MSTS using the default installation which is supposed to install everything. I ran Route Control Lite on it before installing any other route. In Route Control's report I get the following missing items (may I state again, this was MSTS as it came from the box):Activities with problems:
Do not use these activities until the problems are solved.
Note: These activities have been found to reference either trains or services you do not have or faulty consists. The activities are listed by route folder, not by route name. If an activity is listed as being in the RtCntrl-route folder, this activity is for the route you have currently loaded from Route Control. The route folders are shown in blue and the activity itself is shown in red.Usa2
"Maintenance Duty"mainduty.act

Services with problems:
Activities that call on these services will crash Train Simulator.
Note: These services have been found to either reference faulty consists or they are missing entirely from your system. The route folder is shown in blue and the service and related consist and activities are shown in red.Usa2
Mainduty.srv needs the consist: SD40-2, 2 gon, 1 cab .con

Consists with missing trains:
Installing missing trains should fix these problem consists.
Note: These consists have been backed up and will reappear with your regular consists once you install any missing trains listed below. If a consist is listed as (MISSING!) then it is referenced by one of the activities or services listed above, but you do not have this consist at all. SD40-2, 2 gon, 1 cab .con (MISSING!)My question is: Did MSTS leave something out, or is this normal? I get the same report even after I install the patch.

RE: Is This Normal for MSTS?

Did you install the SD-40 2 in V1.2? Maybe you only installed the Class 50 or the patch you are talking about is V1.1.

RE: Is This Normal for MSTS?

The problem with the consist is that there is a space between cab and .con Route Control does not like this (nor does MSTS Activity Analysis for that matter). If you take out the space in the name AND in the consist itself (open with Wordpad) then Route Control will come up with a service with a fault. You can then go into that service, again with Wordpad, and remove the space. All will then be fine.Having said that MSTS will work fine with the space there but every time you run Route Control it will 'quarantine' the consist as faulty.Bill

RE: Is This Normal for MSTS?

Thanks All the activities run fine with no problem. I was just curious as to why it showed up in Route Control. This clears up the matter.
