Is it just me, or my Train simulator. but shouldnt my wheels slip from time to time when pulling heavy freight up Marias pass with a Dash 9 or sd40? Ive even let my trains run backwards down hill in fwd and notch 8, and no slip.
Can some one help or explain what I need to correct.
Thanks all
P.S Im currently working on a fictional route, 171 miles of double main threw a desert. Lots of canyon's, very nice so far, track is laid and im working now on ter-tex and world objects.

RE: Wheel Slip

Is it raining in the sim when you run? Put it on. Take the sand off. That should work, but MSTS doesn't wheelslip too much.

RE: Wheel Slip

Remove the antislip line in it's entirety from the eng file and you will get wheelslip. The newer power doesn't slip much due to the traction control on them, so that is what the sim is trying to recreate. Not very well, but.......(An AC4400 will slip, just not uncontrollably)Todd

RE: Wheel Slip

Get version 4.5 physics from the library. It will allow you to get plenty of wheelslip with older locomotives (SD40 and before). I get lots of wheelslip with U30Cs and SD35s. Just read the directions and this will solve a number of problems you will encounter.
