RE: Fireworks in MSTS?????

Fireworks in MSTS are possible... at least limited so far. I have been working on adding them to my BN/SOO River Lines route as my other hobby involves display fireworks and on New Years we light them from Granddad Bluff 590 feet above the railroad tracks. What I have working so far is to have a large animated object that has fireworks launching and exploding. The day time texture is transparent so it only shows up at night.I have not had much time to work on my route of late as I have been putting in 11-13 hour days at work of late, plus all of I December was tied up preparing for the New Years fireworks. Oh yeah this Friday night we have a small fireworks show next to the BNSF tracks in the for Winter Rec. Fest so I guess that will cut into more MSTS work time (Yes we work with the railroad when planning these shows.) And for those that think security and things are going nuts for railroads and railfans... you would believe what is going on with regards to fireworks.www.skyrockers.org

>The day time texture is transparent so it only shows up at night.Try viewing the animated sequence during sunrise/sunset - I think you'll find that the firework object isn't the only thing that blows up! MSTS can't handle day/night textured animations during these periods - do a seach in the route forum for the drive-in theater I did last month where the issues were discussed at length.Cheers!

RE: Fireworks in MSTS?????

Thanks for the heads up on that. I have only tried it so far at noon and 10pm. Looks like when I get home I will have to test this out.
