I was driving a SD40-2 and I came to a stop signal, so I stopped. Then another SD40-2 came along from the opposit direction, there was only one rail, I tried to back-up so it wouldn't hit me, but my train was very long so I couldn'n start fast enough, the computers train kept coming and I thought it would stop, but it didn't and it crash into me, I couldn't have prevented it because there was no siding. Is somthing wrong with this? I didn't get to get a screen-shot of it.

RE: Marias Pass Crash

What activity were you running and where on the route did this occur? I have noticed that if you are running behind this can happen with A1 traffic as the simulator expects you to be at a certain location at a certain time.Nascarphan

RE: Marias Pass Crash

I've had that happen to me on KHP after passing through the spirals, I was approaching a signal and I saw what I thought was the AI train waiting for me to pass but I noticed the train getting closer and closer....well we collided on the single track section, but only at 20 mph.And yes I was behind time.

I had this sort of thing happen, I was running an "intro ride" on a route I am making. My train stopped on a siding, at a passenger platform. At the end of the siding was a red signal. After the passengers loaded, and while another train heading opposite of "mine" was passing, my trian proceeded out of the station. However, it ignored the red signal at the end of the siding and proceeded to "T-bone" the passing train.Cheers!

RE: Marias Pass Crash

These sorts of problems are caused by the way in which AI trains interpret some of the signal flags.
Signals which are permissive or automatics show a Stop & Proceed indication if the block ahead is occupied.
Unfortunately, the AI trains ignore completely the Stop & Proceed indication and just keep on going like the signal wasnt there.
You can also have AI trains run into the rear of your train for the same reasons.
AI trains can also run into other AI trains for the same reasons.MD

RE: Marias Pass Crash

If you play the Hoodgam route, you'll notice, on one of the activities, you get the Go. You are at platform 1. You have to Cross to Platform 3 tracks. So you'll have to cross one track. Then, on that one track, an AI train comes and crashes on your train sideways!

This is Notting Hill Gate......Change for Circle...and District lines...............This train terminates at Hainault...via Newbury Park......(Don't you just love the SONIA? If you haven't heard it, play BVE Central line to hear it!)

RE: Marias Pass Crash

I don't know, There is no text in my the game so I just clicked on things and found out what they were and memorized them. All I know about the activity is I downloaded it and the train. There were three engines so the train was very hard to get started and it was very long, thats all I know.
