I have run consist buider, and ran a report on errors...I receive the following, but in my attempts to correct the errors, I can't seem to resolve them...Below is a sample of one of the errors I have...My question is what file name is missing, and where is it telling me it is supposed to be? I've put the file named x_couple_auto.wav into
the folder D:\TRAIN SIMULATOR\TRAINS\TRAINSET\TKW_CSX_C40-8\SOUND, and yet it still reports the problem exists...

The sound file x_couple_auto1.wav specified by the file ..\\..\\DASH9\\SOUND\\d9Eng.sms
does not exist in the folder
D:\TRAIN SIMULATOR\TRAINS\TRAINSET\TKW_CSX_C40-8\SOUND
The error was found on this line: Discrete_Trigger ( 58 PlayOneShot ( 1 File ( "x_couple_auto1.wav" -1 ) SelectionMethod (SequentialSelection) ) )Thanks for all your help in advance..Jerry

RE: Conbuilder help

Take the ..\\..\\DASH9\\SOUND\\ and place it in front of the x_couple_auto1.wav. Like this "..\\..\\DASH9\\SOUND\\x_couple_auto1.wav"If you look in the folder sound for the engine you will probably only find 2 files, d9cab.sms and d9eng.sms. When aliased they should point back to the dash9 sound folder.

RE: Conbuilder help

I have just had a look at another dash8 which is not installed yet, and the aliasing is done directly from within the .eng file. So the missing .wav file be in the dash9 folder, not the dash8 folder. However, if you look in the dash9 sound folder, and check the sms files they are also calling for the same file, which is not in the folder, but if you test the dash9 there are no errors. Why should this be when the dash8 test gives errors. I dont know. However if you copy the file from global/sound to dash9/sound the error will cease to exist.

RE: Conbuilder help

Hi,Files like x_couple.* and couple.* are global sounds. They belong in the global Sound folder and should not be copied to any other Sound folder just to cure a bad done aliasing. When you alias a sound file, you should always be aware of the Global sounds and don't and I repeat don't alias them!!!!!
Keep lines with global sounds just as they are.
