MSTS already simulates road traffic, and as for passengers they can be placed on platforms (static) by the route builders, like in the Ohio River Route!

POLL: Should the MS TrainSimulator have simulated ROAD TRAFFIC and PASSENGERS? (Passengers are missing in FS2002 too).

YES. Would like to see train packed with people and rush hour car queues waiting to pass the track. 5 votes, 33% Vote for this choice I DON'T MIND. I would like that but that's too much to ask . 2 votes, 13% Vote for this choice NO. They would not bring any more content to the game than there already is. 6 votes, 40% Vote for this choice ABSOLUTELY NOT. What would happen in a case of an accident! Horrible thought. No votes Vote for this choice USELESS POLL. Who do you think you are? 2 votes, 13% Vote for this choice NEXT. No votes Vote for this choice

I already have thousands of those little Sim people in my Sim Cities. They are always complaining about stuff... the taxes are too high, they need an amusement park, it just never ends. I don't want them on my trains; they would just crab about how I'm always late. Besides, they already have their own little trains. I'm keeping the big ones for myself.

Hi.Thank you for voting! And also for the additional information...It seems that the time spent flying with the FS 2002 has
some effect on the poll I made. I am not saying that it
would be nice to see passangers climb on and off the train
(or plane) during the departure, or see them having dinner,
sleeping or reading or whatever you usually do when travelling. It is just that when you in FS2002 case fly i.e. from U.K. to
the U.S. of A it can be really very very boring. What I mean
by boring is that when you have levelled to the flight path
over the cloud layers, set on GPS and autopilot...thats about
it then I mean at least to have a peek of what the passengers
are doing meanwhile, served meal by cabin crew and watching movie,
would bring some added value to the experience. There is no way the today's graphics cards and comps could
not handle such issues. In complex war simulations they will
do about 80% more AI related work, running the campaign and
calculating the overal scene.I am not saying this kind of enhancements would be absolutely
necessary, but why not have more content related to the real
life? I know it is a TRAIN or FLIGHT simulator, but just how
many MORE people these games would attract if packed full with
such features as discussed earlier? I mean it might be more or
less a sales gimmic, what they want to sell and to whom.I bet they would attract also those people who think sims
are for "pros" and "enthusiasts" and "ex-pilots" (or current)
and so on. I just mean that there will always be people who
want the train or plane to perform as accurately as it is
possible to remake virtually, then there are people to whom
that just might be the secondary issue and the currently
secondary content to be the actual issue. Why would this be optional? I mean you could just choose.
Or i.e. buy an addon which brings more this kind of optionality
I am talking about. That would not be an obligatory purchase
for those who just want the accurate train models. With Regards,
Cpt.S

I think that nagging would be fun, at least for a while. I don't like the way how the activity ends after derailment, so that should be changed as well. At least the delay should be longer.

I'd like to see passangers in trains as well. What I like about riding the VIA into Toronto is blasting by thousands of cars sitting there while we are doin 80MPH.
Thats my favourite part of the ride into Toronto.
That would be sweet to simulate in Train sim but as Tim said "GOOD BYE FRAME RATES!!!"
