Reading Topic #14644
I have just recently purchased MSTS and am looking forward to joining the train simming world. However, whenever I try to install it (or reinstall it as I have done numerous times), it seems to install successfully, but when I go to play it, an message comes up and asks me to send an error report. It's really frustrating. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

It is always good to post your system specs in such a case. In terms of MSTS, it is of utmost importance to know what sort of graphics card you use and your chipset. if you are having a gf4 and a via chipset, you might need to download the latest drivers from www.viaarena.com (4in1 drivers).
Also a good thing is to go into MSConfig. go "start", "run...", type "msconfig" and then go into the "services" area and select "hide all ms services". then go and deselect all remaining services. uninstall msts, and reinstall it in a different directory. reboot your computer and try to restart all services. it helped in my case. although i find it quit annoying to change the install directory for nearly every add-on i install...hope this helps,sebastianp.s.: hey, i'm back! installed a gf4, had lots of trouble, but now it's working!!! msts is greater than ever!!!
