I need help with a problem where when starting MSTS it progresses to about 90% and then drops to the desktop and will only respond to an endtask via task manager. The system is a 2.2ghz; 1gb memory Creative Titanium graphics card 17" monitor running at 1280x1024 @85mhz. Occaisionally when it does get to the first interface the actual running of the system will only work at 800x600x16 otherwise it drops to the desktop again. Any help gratefully recieved.
*Edited for spellingThere are many things that could be happening, I'll give you the most common one I know that would cause that behavior.From the file library here at Train-sim.com download a copy of the application ConBuilder 1.5.1 by Carlos Gomes. Run this application to check and verify all of your consists for missing engines or wagons. If you find any missing or invalid consists, correct them as appropriate using the ConBuilder package. Also using Conbuilder verify all of your engine and wagon files for errors. MSTS will behave this way if the consits, wagon or engine files it is expecting are either missing or contain errors.
